Bloomington-Normal
“Labor Day – 125 years” (125th Anniversary of Labor Day as a federal holiday)
Bloomington Labor Day Parade
10 a.m. Monday Sept 2
Parade line up on Front Street in downtown Bloomington.
Parade begins at Front and S. Lee Street, proceeds south on Lee Street to Wood Street, west on Wood Street to Miller Park.
Chicken dinner picnic at the Miller Park Pavilion; free Miller Park zoo passes for families.
Parade features union marching groups, Illinois State University’s “Big Red Marching Machine,” local high school bands, community organizations and elected officials.

Galesburg
The 127th Labor Day parade will kick off 10 a.m. on Monday September 2.
The parade will start along Seminary Street to Main Street and then finish up on Cherry Street.
Sponsored by the Galesburg Trades and Labor Assembly
IBEW Local 34 and UA Local 25 will be holding a picnic immediately following the parade at Lake Storey, Shelter Number 1.
Peoria
The Peoria Labor Day parade will kick off at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 2.
Line up with be at the Civic Center Parking Lot at Monroe and Fulton. The parade route will proceed east on Monroe to Main, down Main street to Festival Park.
The Picnic will be held at the Riverfront Festival Park from 10 a.m. – w p.m. There will be food beverages entertainment and vendors
Operating Engineers Local 649 will hold their annual picnic at the Hall immediately following the parades. 6408 W Plank Rd., Peoria.
QUINCY
Annual Labor Day Picnic
Monday September 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Lunch from 12 – 1:30 p.m.

The Trades & Labor Assembly is asking for each family to bring a non-perishable food item for charity.
