The West Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council (WCIBCTC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Clinton J. Drury to the position of Executive Director. Drury had previously served as Associate Director for the past five years.

Drury’s duties include assisting to create economic development in the region, business development and owner outreach, all geared towards providing local union construction professionals and contractors job opportunities. “We love economic development. We just want to build it with our members who live here, work here and pay taxes here. This model not only increases the economic viability of the region, but also creates a stronger sense of community.”

Drury is active on local boards including (but not limited to) Labor Chair of PALM/TRICON; Peoria Area Diversity in Employment Action Team (PADEAT); City of Peoria ONE WATER Committee; CEO Council; and Tri-County Regional Planning Commission. Drury is a graduate of Eureka College, the Harvard Trade Union Program and is a LEED Accredited Professional (AP).

The WCIBCTC serves 13-counties in west central Illinois with 17,000 affiliated construction professionals and 15 building trades unions. Drury began his duties January 18, 2016.
